Brayden started getting sick on Friday afternoon and by Monday we had him diagnosed with Hand, Foot and Mouth disease (very gross sounding but very common with his age group). On Saturday night Katie had to go to the ER due to hives. The hives continued through Sunday despite Benedryl and low dose steroids. The good news is both Brayden and Katie are fine now and Katie IS NOT allergic to chocolate as the ER and urgent care doctors had thought.
Because Brayden was so contagious we decided to stay home for the better part of last week. We had a few rough days/nights but overall it ended up being quite productive. We cleaned and organized the garage, cleaned the house and did some more landscaping on one of the sides of our house (this is an ongoing process for us. We have big plans to get it finished next spring - with more help from professionals!)
On Friday morning we left for Cumberland. We spent Friday and Saturday nights there and had a great time. We did not get to see as much family as we would have liked because Brayden was still contagious and our trip was a little quick, but we enjoyed our time!
